I have heard that you can buy another keycode for windows xp pro , so you can install on 2 pcs , is that true?nintendo ds browser
Call Microsoft about your XP Pro. If you have a genuine copy, then tell them that you installed your Windows XP Pro on your old computer but it broke down. Tell them you got a new computer and that you want to install the CD into that computer instead. They will give you a new keycode over the phone.
If that doesnt work, you will need to get a different version of Windows XP Pro Installation CD that lets you install the OS into several (but limited) computers.
I tried the first option, and it worked. You already paid a lot for the CD, I think you have the right to install it to a different computer as long as its your own personal computer.

That's the easiest way for you to go to go jail or pay a whopping fine for Piracy!
Most of these claims are fake. If you "buy" one, you'll be spending good money on a fake.
It's cheaper to buy the original. Trust me on this one.
it's called getting another licence. ie. another package. to do it legitamatly.
Microsoft don't SELL you the disks or the program, you pay them a licence to use it....it just so happens that it comes woth 'free' disks.
absolutely, you can check on the site of Microsoft; this is the Link to to the side:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/home/...
there you can find all the info
I lost my registration cos of my broken pc. I mean, I could not use my code again. I'm wondering about the same thing with you.
I don't know if that is true, I doubt it. all I can tell you is I have 14pc's in IT Center, and I got win xp pro, it transpired I received a disc for each one, that was 14 copies of win xp pro, of course all had their own keycode.
I would have thought if one disc was ok then that is all I would have received.
i thought you were allowed to put one copy on 2 home pc's
using the same number
