when I start my computer give me two options: windows xp home and windows xp pro. , how I can cancel this message and start my computer directly with windows xp pro.
Windows xp start up?microsoft flight simulator
uninstall the home version
Windows xp start up?windows 2000 internet explorer
u should delete ur "xp home" so u dont have to choose that.
Select "My Computer" right click to properties -%26gt;startup ... then u'll find a dialog having one combobox with you "pro" selected. look for a button labeled "edit" or advanced or something like that . choose that n u'll be dropped in an editor(same as notepad). Completely select the line corresponding to the os that u dont want to use and delete.... save and restart...
OK-
Obviously, you have both operating systems loaded on your machine. What we have to do is to make XP Pro the default...
First, boot into XP Pro---Then,
Click "Start", "Run" and type "msconfig" without the quotes. Click OK. This will bring up the System Configuration Utility. Click the "Boot.ini" tab. In the top window, depending on your system, you will see a line something like this:
multi(x)disk(x)rdisk(x)partition(x)Win... Windows XP Professional'/blah blah blah, where the "x's" are numbers (including 0), and the blah blah blah aren't important. Highlight this line, and then click "Set as Default". Click "Apply", then OK, and then reboot your PC. It should automatically boot into Pro.
