i have windows xp sp2and i want to upgrade his version to windows xp pro sp3 2007 version . please tell that whether i will have o install all my softwares,codecs,games and other stuff again o upgrading .

no. every thing should and will be backed up when you up grade,because when i did it it automatically did it, and what you should is back up all your files first and do upgrade.also go to microsoft.com and that site should be able to answer all your questions.good luck.

If you just install a service pack or upgrade you will not have to reinstall anything. As always, you should backup anything important in case problems arise. However, if you choose to format and install everything will have to be reinstalled. Hope this helps!

I have myself researched this, it hasnt been released yet, you will be able to update to it easily once it comes out with windows update
You should not even use Windows XP any more. Check out Linux XP Pro 2008. I recently ordered it and the great thing about this is that you will not recieve any viruses because rarely are viruses set up for this operating system. Try it...its very cheap and I will give you an ebay link to buy it.
