ure putting xp on external drive?

That is not going to work.
Well, I don`t think you can install an OS on an external drive. First of all, because it would connect through USB, and usb works only after the OS is loaded on a computer, so you wouldn`t have a connection with the external drive. When booting, the bios looks at the available drives to boot from, but it doesn`t see the the usb devices. So it cannot boot from it.
Its possible but you have to configure yo Bios settins to boot from a usb drive otherwise it wont detect it when booting up
It is possible. Windows xp pro can be installed on a x-64bit computer. And also, if your computer supports it, via the bios. Generally, most computers do not support it.
