Alright so here's the thing. For a long time I had Windows XP Pro installed on my computer. I bought a new hard drive and decided to dual-boot XP/Vista which worked after many attempts and failures. I always play around with installing/uninstalling OS's because they will mess up, etc. So when I reinstall Windows XP obviously the bootloader for it overrides the Vista bootloader but I see that more than one Windows XP will show up in the XP bootloader? I am doing a clean install on a wiped hard drive. I have no other hard drives containing XP so why am I getting these multiple XPs on the bootloader as if there were all installed somewhere?
Why am I getting multiple Windows XP account in the bootloader?windows live messenger
may be there are entries left in the master boot record
try
c:\ fdisk /mbr
to clean the mbr
