No, you have to have a legal copy of windows on your system, or you cannot get any updates. If you need service pack 2, you can get it on a disc, from windows. I ordered mine last year, and it was free, but I think they charge you a shipping fee now, But it still will not work, if you do not have windows on your machine..Good Luck..
