there is another way to downgrade window vista to window xp pro. My dad bought dell xps m140 window xp media center 2005 edition couple day later he upgrade to window vista home premium he wipe out or format the hard drive to install it for vista. 3 week later he want window xp or media center there another way to bring this back I need more information about and give me a link for the website to download for dell xps m140 thank for reading it

yes. you can try and boot the machine and hit ctrl-f11. If Dell put the restore partiton on your machine you can reset it back to the way it was out of the box. If not, call dell and tell them you need the CDs. remember to back up your data. A full install will wipe out everything including your files.

did you get a restore cd from dell with the os on it? if so do a system restore and start over. Should be instructions in the dell manual.
