Which is the best OS for my laptop(dual core processor,1gb ram) among ubundu,windows vista %26amp; XP pro?internet explorer 6
I would go for XP Pro, or wait for an SP for Vista. Nobody's heard of Ubundu and consequently there's not going to be much software for it. Vista is apparently having some problems, so either get XP Pro now or wait until SP1 to come out (expected to be the first quarter of 2008).

vista is going to take 2gb of ram and depending on how fast your dual core is it might be slow, go for the XP pro for now.
depends if you want linux, if youre not experienced with code get xp pro now
get a free laptop on this site instead of buying retail
